To celebrate West Lodge Primary School’s 60th birthday in 2014 each member of the school community decorated a diamond. Its most famous ex-pupil, Michael Rosen, (who joined the school when it opened) also did one: a portrait of Trev the Tramp, who features in his poem The Homework Book which is a story from when he was at West Lodge. It was conceived as a short term installation, but the diamonds are still brightly welcoming visitors to the school many years later.
