To celebrate diversity in Harrow, children from primary schools across the borough made festival flags for a festival parade. Stitch Club was commissioned by the Borough of Harrow to visit each participating primary school in Harrow and facilitate the creation of bright flags celebrating each school’s diversity and creativity.
Stitch Club worked with the Arts department to source and prepare materials and to prepare ideas and templates to stimulate ideas and get everyone started. Each school’s making day was different so we adapted our process accordingly.
The school children and their families then paraded their bright creations around the Under One Sky festival in Byron Park.
