The Wave Cafe in Muswell Hill creates inclusive events and gatherings: Where We Are All Valued Equally. Stitch created a workshop evening where participants created a simple embroidery which was finished in a hoop. The atmosphere of the cafe is really lovely. Everyone is helpful and happy to spend time chilling in a mindful activity.
Alongside the individual project we were asked to devise a group project that could stay with the cafe. The finished Autumn Tree was displayed at their birthday party the following year.
Later we were invited back to create a rainbow stitched piece as part of their Wave Cafe party evening celebrating many arts.
